Kongra Star for the anniversary of Abdullah Öcalan: “Freedom for Öcalan is women’s freedom”

On the occasion of the anniversary of Abdullah Öcalan, we share this publication of Kongra Star with messages from the different committees regarding the figure of the thinker and representative of the Kurdish people, who has been in isolation since 1999 in Imrali prison.

“April 4 is the 71st anniversary of the national leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in solitary confinement in Imrali prison since 1999. From Kongra Star Women’s Movement, we want to share this day with the Kurdish people and all the peoples of the world. The birth of Abdullah Öcalan represents an important day for all those people who are fighting for a life in freedom, as his philosophy has brought new perspectives on the path towards a democratic society.”
