Panel online available now

The panel discussion on the Women’s Revolution in Rojava in the current situation is now available on Youtube.

The fall of the Syrian regime has created new crises and new opportunities in the Middle East. As Kurds in Syria celebrate the end of a regime that has rendered countless Kurds stateless and denied the existence of a Kurdish identity, language and culture, Turkish-backed militias equally hostile to Kurdish existence have launched new operations against areas held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and threaten to advance further.

Three renowned Kurdish women leaders from North and East Syria participated in the panel discussion: Rohilat Afrin, commander-in-chief of the Women’s Defence Units (YPJ), Foza Yusuf, board member of the PYD, and Shiraz Hemo, member of Kongra Star Coordination. Meghan Bodette from the Kurdish Peace Institute moderated the panel.
