Dear comrades, friends and sisters,
we reach out to you from North and East Syria in order to update you. You are probably reading the news yourselves, so we will focus more on the feelings here in the society.
You know about the attacks: how Kobane is under siege, how SDF had to leave Camp Hol and now thousand of ISIS fighters unite with the forces of HTS and the turkish state. How the attacks have not been stopped by any ceasefire, but are continuing in genocidal strength.
How the US, even though their whole purpose for being here, is to fight ISIS, disconnected themselves from the SDF and are strengthening their relationship with HTS.
Two days ago, the ceasefire and integration deal, that would have lead to a slow death of our revolution, was been rejected, and the resistance was strengthened.
Also the resistance at the borders of Kurdistan, attacking this wall, that is a such a painful view for everybody here, and in this reconnecting to when during the resistance in Kobane the wall was teared down, gave a lot of strength and unity as kurdish people.
In the cities and villages of Rojava, the people are organizing their defense and everybody finds their role.
The neighborhood communes are organizing the patrols and night shifts in which everybody takes turns, so that the youth as well as old women go patrolling the streets and keep watch.
In the meantime others make tea and food and the children bring it outside.
This leads to get togethers at the fire, people start to sing and to dance. Those driving by, stop for a while, and then go on.
In these moments, the pain and the will to resist and to dance and to live, is not at all contradicting each other, but completing, as the pain is turnedinto anger towards the enemy and hope for the struggle.
Also the provision of aid and shelter forthe refugees is being organized by the communes.
In all this women play a significant role, having every bodies needs in mind and setting the ground for an understanding of common responsible.
While the flag of ISIS is been waved over Raqqa again, black veils are being spread under the women again and specifically women, kurdish women and women that have been active in organizing women are being murdered.
For the women in the resistance it is clear, that in their struggle for a free life lies no possibility to surrender. Its a battle for existence and loosing is not an option.
These days show so clearly, how our common enemy is the mentality of patriarchy and facism, and how ISIS as the main concentration of this mentality, is not contradicting the goals of the US and European states. How ISIS, SNA, Turkey, HTS, US and EU are all following the same interests.
The enemy of this mentality is the womens revolution.
And the revolution here is not just a revolution for kurds or those that live here but a revolution for all women and all life. Which means this attack is also an attack on all women and all life.
Rojava is the symbol of hope that revolution is possible. They want to destroy this hope that a different life, a free life, is possible.
The revolution here called for a full mobilization. This is not just a call for Rojava, but the call was for everyone, to mobilize everything you can.
The images of the demonstrations and actions in Europe are shown in television here and the whole society is watching it and gaining strength from it.
