The monthly Kongra Star newsletter is out! In this newsletter for the month of August 2024, will inform you about Kongra Star’s activities and events related to the women’s movement in North and East Syria. The month of August was another month of struggle and resistance.
In our newsletter for the month of July 2024, we provide information about the activities of Kongra Star and other events related to the women‘s movement in Northern and Eastern Syria. The month of July was dedicated to the 12th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution. Therefore, we report on the celebrations that took place on the occasion of the anniversary as well as on a forum of the Kongra Star Diplomacy Committee, which discussed the achievements of the women‘s revolution with women and organizations
from all over the Middle East.
Another event with lively participation and visibly high morale was the 4th Conference of the Women‘s Defense Units YPJ, which we report on here.
We also report on a campaign launched by the organization SARA in response to recent reports of violence against women and girls.
Finally, we report on an exhibition organized by the Women‘s Foundation WJAS, which gave female artists in the region the opportunity to show their work in public.
